Silverdale Holiday Centre is situated in a beautiful part of the British Isles and is popular with nature lovers, holiday makers and visitors alike. The centre has separate male and female sleeping and bathing quarters, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and a common room.
The Centre is situated in a site overlooking Morecambe Bay and can accommodate up to 50 people. Sleeping accommodation for 40 people is in two large rooms which have been partitioned to create 10 twin bedded rooms. There are also 6 separate bedrooms for staff and adult groups comprising 3 twin rooms, 2 double rooms (one ensuite), and one family room with king-size bed and bunk beds. The facilities also include a shower room with 6 shower cubicles, and 3 separate bathrooms.
With heated swimming pool, several designated play areas and lots of space, views and sea breezes, Silverdale is a wonderful facility and perfect location for residential use by schools groups, scout and guide groups, ramblers, caravan clubs, youth groups, Duke of Edinburgh Awards groups, outdoor pursuit fans, nature lovers, and for those who simply want to get away from it all.
The Centre is a perfect location for residential training courses, staff development and /or team building courses.
Silverdale is situated near Arnside and Carnforth on the boundary between Lancashire and Cumbria, and was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1972. Its limestone hills, salt marsh, foreshore fen, parkland and woodlands have contributed towards the area being designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Biological Heritage Site and Local Nature Reserve.
The extensive grounds of Silverdale Holiday Centre include a play area, sports ground, and wooded area for outdoor activities and games.
No open fires are allowed in the grounds. |

Hire of Silverdale Holiday Centre
The Centre can be hired over every weekend of the year, ie Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, and for every week during the months of September to February each year.
The Trustees have produced a brochure that can be forwarded on request to those wishing to use the facilities at Silverdale.
All private residential stays at Silverdale Holiday Centre must include staff to care for children and youths at all times, and are on a self-catering basis.
All safety equipment required is provided and is well maintained.
