Silverdale Holiday Centre

We are very fortunate to enjoy the support of Leeds City Council and the Office of the Lady Mayoress. However, like most charities we rely on voluntary donations to provide free holidays/respite by the seaside for many children who would otherwise not have an opportunity to leave the City and/or hostile environments.

There are lots of ways that you as an individual, your company or friends can help us to achieve our goals.

  • Donations of any amount are always greatly appreciated and cheques should be made payable to ‘Leeds Children’s Holiday Camp Association’.

  • Allow us to claim GIFT AID on any donation that you make. By completing a simple form, which we can provide, the Government adds a further 28% to any gift that you make, at no extra cost to you.  Click here to download the form.
  • GIFTS IN KIND are welcome either as items for use at Silverdale Holiday Centre, or to be used as raffle or auction prizes as part of the charity’s fundraising programme.
  • COMPANY OR CORPORATE FUNDRAISING: we are always very happy for corporate sponsors to be involved, either by supplying professional services (through Business in the Community {BITC}), by holding sponsored events such as fun runs, abseils or parachute jumps, or by sponsoring one of our fundraising events.
  • TRUSTEES or Fund Raising Committee: perhaps you could offer time and services to help with the governance and management of the charity. The Trustees would welcome new ideas and constructive help with the running of the charity.
  • BUY THE BOOK:  profits from the wonderful ‘Now I am a Swimmer’ by Frances McNeil is given to the charity to provide free holidays/respite for disadvantaged children.

  • 100 CLUB: the Trustees are running a 100 Club Lottery to raise funds to be used for the purpose of the charity. If you would like to be included in the monthly draw, please complete and return the attached form. Click here to download the form.

  • JustGiving: Donations can be made online using our JustGiving link. If you would like to take part in a sponsored event, or raise money in other ways for the benefit of Leeds Children's Holiday Camp Association,  any monies raised are paid directly to the charity's bank account by clicking on one of these links. All gifts and donations paid in this way will automatically attract a Gift Aid payment from the Government of a further 28% of the amount paid at no extra cost to you.
